Report of Value Added Course on
Business Environment Analysis
The department council in its meeting held on 00/06/2021has decided to conduct a value added course on ‘Business Environment Analysis’ . The course aims to impart practical knowledge of local and global business environment to 2nd and 4th semester MA students in the department of Economics. The course has been designed with five modules, which consists of establishment of business entity in various sector, performance analysis of businesses, running of sustainable and responsible business units, global business environment, and role of innovation, skill development and intellectual property rights (the syllabus of the course has been provided as Appendix 1 ). Among the M.A. students, 54 students (see the Appendix 2 , herewith this report) had registered for the course and all students were successfully completed the course.
The value-added course has started on 19th July 2021 at 4.30 P.M and came to an end on 14 August 2021, with a total 14 lectures were delivered by various faculties and scholars from various organizations and also utilized the expertise of department (the programme schedule and brochures have been appended with this report, see Appendices 3 and 4 respectively).
The inauguration was done by Dr. P Sivadasan, Director, IQAC, University of Calicut. The head of the department done the welcome address. An introduction to the course has done by Dr. Muneer Babu M., the coordinator of the course. The opening lecture was delivered by Dr. C K Francis, Co-ordinator, MBA, School of Management Studies in the area of ‘Savings and Avenues for Investment’. The vote of thanks has been given by Dr. Sanoop M.S., another coordinator of the course.
